How to become a member of IOTTT?

IOTTT updated its membership criteria and opened its membership to all occupational therapists, non-OT professionals, and students from its original model of membership by endorsement. Please see the membership webpage for further information and to apply for membership.

If I am pursuing master’s (MOT) or doctoral degree in OT, shall I apply for student membership?

No, if you already have a bachelors degree in OT (BOT, BOTh, etc.), you must apply as a member. Student membership is only for bachelors students and entry-level OT students.

How much is the membership fee?

For members and associate members, the membership fee is 3000 INR for each term. For student members, it is 1000 INR and their membership will be valid until they graduate with bachelors or entry-level degree.

What should I do when my membership term ends?

You must renew the membership by submitting the membership renewal form and pay the renewal fee if you wish to continue as a member of IOTTT.

Do I have to live or practice OT in India to become a member of IOTTT?

No. All occupational therapists who meet the membership criteria can become a member of this group regardless of where they reside or practice. Currently, the group has members who live in countries India, Ireland, Poland, United Kingdom, and the United States.

How often IOTTT meets?

Beginning 2025, the IOTTT board meets virtually 3 times a year, including the general body meeting in June. Aside from this, the Executive Committee and ad-hoc project groups meet several times a year as needed.

How is IOTTT funded?

Beginning 2025, IOTTT collects membership dues from members. It envisions to generate funds through donations, educational offerings, research grants, services and endorsements, etc.

How can I support IOTTT?

You can support IOTTT by joining as a member, attending IOTTT events and Saturday Night Chat sessions, utilizing IOTTT resources, sharing IOTTT communications and resources with your network, spreading the word about IOTTT among relevant stakeholders, providing IOTTT with constructive feedback, and making voluntary donations.
